Project Overview

RoomTone FM is a podcast created by and for the Black community. Hosted by Xolani and Ava, the show covers topics that range from culture and relationships to identity and community, all through a lens that is honest, hilarious and unapologetically Black.

The challenge was to build a brand identity that could hold both the weight of meaningful conversation and the energy of a good time, without sacrificing either.

The visual direction leaned into bold color blocking, expressive typography and an urban aesthetic that reflects the culture the show speaks to and speaks from.
